Rotterdam/Amsterdam, November 2010 --- ING Bank and RSM have formalised their long-lasting relationship through a corporate partnership agreement. On 8 November 2010, representatives of RSM and ING Bank met at ING’s head office for a signing ceremony and exchange of ideas.

Experts from ING Bank’s senior management will conduct a series of guest lectures to the more than 800 students in the first-year Business Administration course ‘Introduction to Business Administration’, while internships will be offered to recent Bachelor and Master graduates. Several ING Bank recruitment events will be offered on MSc and MBA levels. ING will offer an MBA scholarship and specifically sponsoring the MSc Finance and Investments Honours Class.

RSM Dean George Yip: “Both parties wish to benefit from each other’s strengths in order to reduce the distance between the academic world and the business world.” Reducing this distance is high on the agenda of RSM leadership. Quite simply, it makes sense – it benefits all stakeholders, internal and external, from bachelor students to senior executives.”

Over the past decade, RSM and ING Bank have enjoyed a mutual beneficial relationship on an ad hoc basis. However, both parties started to feel the need for a more structural relationship with clear goals and concluded that it was time to consolidate all activities in one corporate partnership agreement.

ING’s Business Principles of integrity, transparency, respect, and social and environmental responsibility coincide with RSM’s corporate values of critical thinking, innovation and sustainability and go together well. The international focus is another common feature.
