CWMA students sound the gong at Euronext

Rotterdam, November 2011 --- A delegation of Indonesian bankers who are participating in the Master of Wealth Management programme at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, has been visiting financial institutions in the Netherlands. On invitation of programme-partner Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) they were hosted by Professor Jaap Spronk, Academic Dean of MBA Programmes and MFM Programme Director. A part of this visit was attending the Amsterdam's NYSE Euronext Exchange, where Mr. Agus Toni Soetirto, PT Bank Raykat Indonesia, opened the day on 16 November by sounding the gong. TThis is the first time such a group has participated in the Certified Wealth Management programme at RSM. This special visit to the Exchange gave the Indonesian bankers an opportunity to get acquainted with the Dutch financial industry. During their stay they were also handed their programme certificate by Professor Spronk.

The CMWA programme provides insight into wealth management - a comprehensive and cohesive system aimed at protecting & preserving assets, growing accumulating assets, and transitioning assets. The programme is aimed at members of board of directors and board of commissioners from the Banking Sector, Insurance Sector, Multi Finance Sector & Asset Management Sector and Real Estate sector, as well as regulators (Central Bank, Capital Market & Financial Institution Supervisory Agency).

Certified Wealth Managers’ Association was established and founded in 2005 by the Bankers Club Indonesia (BCI), (now known as Ikatan Bankir Indonesia (IBI)). The Certified Wealth Managers’ Association (CWMA) is a non-profit, independent association whose purpose is to protect the customers’ interests and to support the wealth management profession with education, research, product development, and networking both globally and locally. cwma.or.id
