The Diploma in Business Management and Leadership Programme comes to Istanbul.
As the Netherlands and Turkey celebrate 400 years of their diplomatic and trading relationship this year, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) is to take its most successful executive education programme, The Diploma in Business Management and Leadership Programme to Istanbul. The programme will be taught this autumn and winter in the centre of Istanbul by world-class academics at RSM and regional business people.
RSM’s department of Executive Education and Organisational Development (EEOD) has tailored the programme to meet the needs of the region's business world, and will provide local managers with specific business and management skills as well as cutting-edge insights into western ways of doing business in the context of globalisation.
The programme makes use of contemporary case studies and provides the opportunity to rapidly gain new skills to implement practical solutions based on new knowledge and critical dialogues.
The nine-day programme takes place in November and December 2012. It is designed to provide managers with improved performance in core managerial activities and prepare them for increased responsibilities, and it covers four fundamental disciplines. The focus is on providing skills for real-world application and maximum impact for those who want to boost their knowledge. Each module of the Diploma Programme will be taught by an expert in central Istanbul. The modules take place between 19-22 November and 10-14 December 2012.
“The Istanbul Diploma in Business Management and Leadership Programme offers outstanding professional networking opportunities and is a powerful way to improve and innovate international business and business skills, based on excellent research from Europe’s top 3 research institute,” says EEOD Director, Josette de Goede, who explains that the 400th anniversary of the relationship between the two countries is an ideal time for businesses, trade associations, chambers of commerce and executive networks to invest in executive education programmes for employees, so as to take advantage of growing international trade.
This year’s 400th anniversary commemorations celebrated by Rotterdam and Istanbul aim to boost still further the volume of trade between Turkey and the Netherlands, which has tripled in the past ten years. Turkey offers economic opportunities for small and medium-sized companies in particular, and the Netherlands is one of the largest foreign investors there. The anniversary is to be commemorated with other initiatives such as trade missions, to boost the cultural, social and economic ties between the two countries, with a focus on water, the environment and waste management, energy-saving technology, agri-food, health care and the creative industries.
