At the second edition of TEDxRSM, which was organised by MBA students from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), dynamic speakers shared their experiences with change. The event took place on campus on 19 November and attracted a full house.

One hundred people attended TEDxRSM 2014, which was themed ‘Changes that come with change’. The nine speakers were academics, entrepreneurs, directors and other experts who work in different fields and included Chris Arnold, Professor Mathijs van Dijk, Rodrigo Moita de Deus, Sandra Geisler, Gustavo Andres Higuera, Nico Prins, Stijn Saten, Milton Sousa, and Aleida de Vos van Steenwijk. In keeping with the spirit of TED conferences, the diverse group of speakers shared their points of view, exciting discoveries and dreams about change with the audience. Before and after TEDxRSM, attendees, organisors and speakers also had the opportunity to network and further discuss the topic.

“The diversity of speakers was impressive,” said attendee Anastasia Frolova, a Russian full-time MBA student at RSM, who said several of the topics were new to her and made her look at things differently. “We made a journey around the world looking into the problems people face and solutions that each of us can be part of.”

TEDxRSM was organised by 12 participants from RSM’s Full-time International MBA programme. “I was happy to see that everybody was talking about the event and excited about it,” said Shan Lin, one of the TEDxRSM volunteers from RSM’s MBA Class of 2015.
