To celebrate the kick-off of an Alumni Chapter in Barcelona, former students from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) gathered for a lecture by RSM Dean Steef van de Velde and to network. The event took place in Barcelona on Friday 30 January 2015.

The 15 guests attended a lecture by RSM Dean Steef van de Velde about sales forecasting of limited edition products. Participants included RSM alumni and alumni from other business schools within Ryder Club of Spain, an association of alumni clubs of Spain’s top business schools and universities. It was the first lifelong learning event of the newly formed Local Chapter Barcelona.

To set up the new Local Chapter Barcelona, its leaders Ariadna Macip (MBA 2003) and Joaquim Oliveras (FT MBA 2004) worked together with the established RSM Club of Spain and Local Chapter Madrid, both of which also organise lifelong learning and networking events.

“Ten years after my MBA graduation I realised that I had put too much distance between my MBA experience and my daily life,” said Oliveras. “I wanted to regain part of the spirit that took me to do the MBA and refresh the feeling of improvement that stays in MBA graduates.”

The event concluded with a networking dinner and drinks.
