

Board Member Finance & Human Resources and Labour Director, Lufthansa Cargo
Effective 1 June 2009, Peter Gerber (45) has been nominated for a seat on the executive board of Lufthansa Cargo by the steering committee of the company’s supervisory board.
As board member Finance &Human Resources and as Labour director, he will complete the executive board led by chairman Carsten Spohr. Peter Gerber succeeds Dr. Roland Busch, who will in future head the Finance & Human Resources division on the Lufthansa Passenger Airlines Board.
Peter Gerber was appointed to his present post as senior vice president Corporate Industrial Relations and Social Security in December 2004.
He began his career at Lufthansa in the personnel and legal affairs departments in 1992. His responsibilities there were, among others, chiefly concerned with developing a new retirement pension scheme and the Miles & More frequent flyer programme.
He later occupied various other positions at the group, among them as head of the corporate settlement, fees and charges department, as project manager of the D-Check project – a group wide programme to safeguard results, and as head of corporate strategy.
Since June 2003, Peter Gerber has also represented Lufthansa on the “Air Traffic for Germany” project. Born on 1 March 1964, Peter Gerber studied Law and Business Management in Gießen and in Hagen.
In 2008, he completed a senior executive programme at Columbia University in New York (USA).
