Jurgen van Breukelen (47) is Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Altice Group. Altice provides cable and fibre based services and mobile telephony services in 15 territories around the world, including the US, France and Portugal. The shares of Altice are traded on Euronext Amsterdam.

Jurgen is also Senior Adviser at Permira Advisers LLP, a global private equity firm, as well as Senior Adviser of the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Bank PLC.

In addition, he chairs the Supervisory Board of Van Gansewinkel Groep, an international waste management company, and is member of the supervisory board at the Alzheimer Foundation.

Jurgen has an MSc degree in Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and is a retired lieutenant in the Royal Dutch Army.

After his military service, he spent 21 years at KPMG, of which the last 15 as partner, and during his career he held a variety of senior executive roles in the firm, including as Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Advisory, Head of Clients & Markets, Chairman & CEO of KPMG in the Netherlands and finally Member of the Global Executive Team & Global Board at KPMG International, where he chaired KPMG's Global Quality & Risk Committee. He left the firm in 2015 to become Chairman of The Altice Group.
