Mandele, Martijn van der

Senior Fellow, RAND Europe, Alumnus 

Martijn van der Mandele is senior fellow at RAND Europe. 

He holds a PhD in management from the Rotterdam School of Management (2004), a Law degree (LLM) from the University of Leiden (1972), and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago (1975). 

Mr Mandele has published articles on strategic planning and R&D management in Financieel Dagblad, the Holland Management Review and M&O.

 Before joining RAND, Mr. van der Mandele was country manager and European board member of Arthur D. Little. 

Prior to this he worked for Booz Allen & Hamilton and an international paper company in Paris, New York and Hamburg. 

He has worked in operations and data processing for the ABN AMRO, a major bank in the Netherlands. As a consultant, he was primarily involved with strategic planning and technology assignments for global companies. 

Mr. van der Mandele is chairman or board member of a number of institutions including, amongst others: RSM, the Center of Human Drug Research, and Twente University.
