Ready, Set, Go!

Ready, Set, Go!

The year started with busy preparations for the start of the Executive MBA. I created a study room at home, bought a new laptop, received the books, studied and took the tests for the pre-courses and informed friends and family about the journey I was about to start. Busy and exciting times thinking about what was about to come!

After all these preparations it was time to actually go to campus and have classes. I was very happy and satisfied to see that we started the EMBA with a Women in Leadership day where issues about gender gap and competition amongst women were addressed. This is such an important topic, it’s like “the big elephant in the room” that some do not want to address, thus I was very glad RSM chose to do so. By now we have had our first intensive week with full time classes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of our classes were actually on Personal Leadership Development (PLD). This is how we will differentiate ourselves. Being emotionally mature and understanding the human side which impacts all environments, and most definetely the corporate world.

The rush has started, we have been assigned to sections and groups to work out assignments. There’s a lot to keep me busy for a while. It’s ready, set, go!
