    Leadership in Logistics. What is the impact of Leadership in Logistics Performance ?
    
    

  Logistics managers are important to achieve performance in organisations. However, so are ‘systems’: physical systems such as
  warehouses, trucks, plants, but also procedures, information systems, and recipes. In this breakfast presentation we will focus on
  two recent research projects where we analysed the drivers of operational performance.
  The first project focused on finding measures that help to reduce accidents in warehouses. Although accidents ‘happen’ certain
  measures can be taken which appear to reduce accidents significantly. The second project focused on stockouts in retail stores.
  It appears that stockouts can be reduced in a fashion similar to accidents by taking comparable measures.
