What is the usual class size?

Class sizes are usually between 10 to 18 people, but it does depend on the programme. We aim for a balance between room for individual attention, and good group dynamics and networking opportunities.

Can I park at RSM?

You can park at the Erasmus University campus in parking garages P2 and Erasmus Plaza. RSM will provide you with exit cards that cover the cost of parking during your programme.

What is included in the programme fee?

Programme fees include tuition, programme materials, plus lunch and refreshments throughout the programme. Hotel accommodation is not included, unless mentioned otherwise in the programme information.

Where can I stay?

If you require hotel accommodation for an overnight stay in Rotterdam, we recommend the Novotel Rotterdam Brainpark, adjacent to Erasmus University, just 5 minutes’ walk away.

What is the campus address?

Most of our programmes take place in the Bayle (J) building on the Woudestein Campus of Erasmus University Rotterdam, which is where Rotterdam School of Management is located. The address is always provided in the pre-programme information.
The location is close to public transport. There is car parking available on site; RSM will provide you with exit cards that cover the cost of parking during your programme. Click here for more information.

How are the programmes structured? What is the learning format of the programmes?

Participants can expect a carefully integrated mix of lectures, presentations, business simulations, small group discussions and case studies. Some preparation work and home study may be required.

When is payment due?

Once registered you will receive an invoice which we ask you to pay within 30 days. If registration takes place 30 days or fewer before the start of the programme, your fee must be paid before the programme’s start date. If you do  not receive an invoice, contact the manager of your programme.

What’s the normal schedule for programmes?

Most programmes start at 09:00. Finishing time depends on the particular programme. The programme manager will send you the schedule before the start of the programme.

What preparation coursework is required before the programme?

Most of our programmes require some pre-programme work and reading. Once admitted, four weeks before the start of the programme each participant will receive detailed information about preparation coursework directly from the programme manager.

How do I apply for a programme?

Go to www.rsm.nl/open to apply for a programme. Click on the tab Find a programme, select which programme you would like to join, and fill out the application form. It will take you approximately 5 minutes to complete the application.

After you have sent your application (using the submit button), you will receive an email confirming that your application has been received.

Our programme manager will contact you with more details. For some programmes an intake interview will take place before you are accepted onto the programme.

The programme is fully booked. How can I be placed on a waiting list?

When a programme is fully booked, you can ask to be placed on the waiting list. Please email to the programme manager of the programme you wish to join. Each programme manager can be found on the corresponding programme website.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must give us notice of cancellation in writing. Send an email to our open programmes team [openprogrammes@rsm.nl] indicating that you wish to cancel your enrolment. The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 14 days before the programme’s start date: 25% of the programme fee will be charged
  • Between 14 and 7 days before the programme’s start date:  75% of the programme fee will be charged
  • 7 days or fewer before the programme’s start date: 100% of the programme fee will be charged
  • Cancellations received on or after the programme’s start date: 100% of the programme fee will be charged.

Is financial aid available?

No. We do not offer scholarships for our executive programmes. However study costs are a personal deduction and can be used if you have  taxable income in the Netherlands. The personal deduction can also be allocated to your tax partner. More information visit the Belastingdienst website.

Are there any tuition discounts?

Yes. Alumni from RSM and Erasmus University Rotterdam receive a 10% discount. Companies sponsoring several participants may also be offered a special price.

Can I pay my tuition fee in instalments?

Yes. If you wish to pay your tuition fee in instalments, please contact your designated programme manager. The first instalment of the tuition fee is due before the start of the programme.

What services are available for participants with disabilities?

All buildings are easily accessible. Participants with disabilities may park their cars in the designated parking bays. Wheelchairs and extra assistance can be made available for you if required. Toilets with access for people with disabilities can be found in all university buildings.
