MIHAYL KILEV, BULGARIA, CURRENT IBA STUDENT

"I was especially fascinated by the events and workshops that the school organises in order to introduce us to potential employers and business sectors. For instance, the annual Banking Cycle allowed me to meet with representatives from numerous leading investment banks, helping me to apply and participate in a Credit Suisse programme in London. This experience has helped me formulate my career goals for the future."

Student Activities

Opportunities for leadership roles in numerous clubs, student associations and student-managed conferences will enrich your time at RSM socially and professionally, while giving you extra credentials to add to your CV.

The student associations of Erasmus University Rotterdam are divided into: student associations and study associations.

Student associations are comprised of students from all schools within and outside of Erasmus University. For more information about international student associations in Rotterdam, visit the Erasmus Student Service Centre website under Related Links.

Study associations are paired with each individual school or programme and may be social, but primarily provide pre-professional and study activities. The study association for RSM students is STAR. The month following the start of the academic year, STAR organises a special weekend exclusively for new IBA students.

STAR – Virtual business life

With more than 6,500 members and 1,000 overseas members, STAR is the largest study association in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe. Operating like a virtual organisation, STAR brings you unique opportunities to practice turning your ideas into commercial realities via membership of numerous committees such as the International Business Project or the STAR Management Week Committee.

STAR brings together the entire student body to greatly enrich student life with a full line-up of social and career-oriented events held throughout the year. STAR maintains an extensive network of contacts with both student associations and corporations in the Netherlands, and regularly invites leaders in international business and politics to meet our students via activities such as Management Week, Business Week and other Career Days. STAR also produces a full bi-monthly business magazine.
