Pooja Rao, 21, India, current IBA student
“I spent my high school years in Bangalore, a city in the south of India. My international experience truly began when I started at my university in SMU, Singapore where I was exposed to cultures from all around the world. My first taste of Europe was when I moved with my family to the Netherlands a year ago and transferred to RSM.
Since then it has been an enriching and wonderful learning experience which has given me friends from every corner of the world. Of course, coming from Asia, it threw light on how different life can be in a western country but it has given me the opportunity to learn from others as well as teach others about my culture.
I believe the experience and knowledge that I will gain in this study will go a long way in shaping me for my future career. I aspire to work in an international company with a global footprint, a company that will give me a chance to travel to and live in different countries. For this, I plan to apply to the exchange programme offered by RSM through which I can experience university life in a new country with its own unique culture.”
Diana Kos, 23, Serbia, current IBA student
“Growing up in South-Eastern Europe and having completed an international secondary education in Holland made me learn a lot about various cultures and cultural differences. After graduating from high school I knew I wanted to continue my education in an international business environment and pursue an international career later on in life. The IBA programme offers a diverse set of courses thought by professors who challenge and guide you throughout your study. These courses combined with exchange programmes and international internship opportunities help you determine your career path.
I am now in the final year of my bachelor and planning to do my master’s in marketing. I would like to pursue a career as a marketing consultant for a global company.”

“I was born in Bulgaria, but I have also lived in Iran, the US and now – the Netherlands. There were two main reasons why I chose RSM and the IBA. First, I was looking for a very strong business administration programme that would provide me with the skills and opportunities to excel in life. In addition, having lived on three continents, I grew up feeling a citizen of the world and was, therefore, looking for a culturally diverse atmosphere.
Luckily, the IBA provided both, and at the end of my first year I must admit that I enjoy the programme and the school-life even more than I expected. I was especially fascinated by the events and workshops that the school organises in order to introduce us to potential employers and business sectors. For instance, the annual Banking Cycle allowed me to meet with representatives from numerous leading investment banks. Eventually it helped me apply and participate in a Credit Suisse programme in London. This experience strengthened my interest in investment banking and helped me formulate my career goals for the future.”
