Accounting & Control deals with the core of management: ensuring the economic viability of the organization. All major decisions within organizations, both profit and non-profit, are analysed and evaluated from an economic perspective. Ensuring the future existence of the organisation requires a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of accounting, economic evaluation of organisational processes, financial analysis, and the financial market view on annual reports and other (non)financial information.
The RSM Accounting & Control group actively contributes to the field with research on firm valuation, investor relations, management accounting & control and auditing. In recent years, our research has resulted in publications in leading academic journals, such as Accounting, Organizations & Society, Journal of Accounting & Economics, Abacus and Management Accounting Research.
