PHD Programme in Finance
The Department of Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (The Netherlands) invites applications for its PhD Program in Finance starting in September 2010.
Qualifications
Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate the ability and motivation to do outstanding research in finance. We invite candidates from around the world to apply, but we expect candidates to be fluent in English. A background in economics or finance and skills in econometrics and statistics are valuable for completing the program.
About the PHD Program
The PhD Program in Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University is aimed at enabling talented and motivated students to develop into excellent researchers in the field of finance. The PhD program consists of a two-year MPhil program and three years of dissertation work. All courses in the MPhil program are taught in English. Prospective students that have already obtained an MSc or MPhil degree on a related subject at a reputable institution may be exempted from one or two years of course work. Our two-year Master of Philosophy in Business Research program is aimed at providing talented and motivated students with a solid foundation for a subsequent Ph.D. in Finance. Application Procedures
The official deadline for applications to the PhD programme is March 15, 2010 and the official deadline for applications to the MPhil programme is April 1, 2010 for non-EU citizens and April 15, 2010 for the EU citizens and international students studying in the Netherlands.
