Conferences
Each year, we host several international conferences with speakers and discussants from a wide variety of schools and locations. The one-day conference on Professional Asset Management will have its fourth edition in March 2010, while the Erasmus Liquidity Conference expects to meet again in June. In 2010 we will also host the annual conference of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA).
Seminars
Our weekly seminar series, organized jointly with the Erasmus School of Economics, features distinguished speakers from top international schools. In addition there is a brown bag seminar series, with mostly internal speakers and an econometrics seminar, covering financial econometrics. Coordinator of the Erasmus Finance Seminar is

PhD Defenses
The RSM Finance Department delivers about three to five PhD graduates per year. Formal defenses are public events, held in the Promotiezaal of Erasmus University. At the ceremony the candidate gives a brief presentation of the PhD thesis, followed by Q&A of the committee.
