Biography

Drs. Marten Stienstra joined the department of Strategy and Business Environment in May 1999 as a student assistant of Prof. Dr. H.W. Volberda and as a research assistant of the Erasmus Strategic Renewal Centre. After his master thesis defense in June 2001, which was awarded second-best on the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Strategy Award 2001, he became Assistant Professor and taught courses such as strategic business plan and a master elective. Presently, Drs. Stienstra is working on a PhD project entitled: Strategic renewal of large established firms in deregulating industries: the case of the European energy industry. In the last couple of years, he has authored and co-authored several papers.
