After Your Master

Career perspectives in Entrepreneurship
Every year several students and alumni realise their entrepreneurial dreams by starting their own ventures – usually with fellow RSM students and in most cases with the objective of continuing to build the business after graduation. Examples of these ventures are: Senz Umbrellas, Yoursurprise.com and NewCompliance.com. These alumni did not apply for a job, they created their own.

Career perspectives in business development
Our graduates are well-qualified to help established companies rejuvenate and grow by developing and building new business ventures. Corporate recruiters highly value the ability of our graduates to act on opportunities for new business. Several large firms such as Siemens, Philips, and NXP have expressed great interest in our alumni to help them develop new business. Smaller firms such as NEDAP and Mendix have also hired RSM alumni for business development positions that demand a combination of entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial drive.

Starting positions of our graduates
Experience tells us that on average, students tend to start up their ventures five years after graduating. In the period before the launch of their businesses, the knowledge they gained during the MScBA Entrepreneurship & New Business Venturing gives them an excellent competitive advantage for positions in established companies looking to pursue opportunities for growth and value creation

Entrepreneurship graduates can also work as analysts for investment banks or venture capitalists; as management consultants or recruiters. Others may opt for a traineeship or a sales position with a multinational firm. An increasing number of high-impact entrepreneurs show a keen interest in recruiting our graduates to help them grow their ventures. We have seen our alumni are especially eager to work for such challengers: young firms that aim to challenge the market positions of established players.
