DAVID KOPPY - RSM/CITY OF ROTTERDAM SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

""During the summer I conducted an analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility in Rotterdam for the city municipality. I used the Summer Associateship to gain further insight into an area of my interest and met a lot of fantastic people from the Rotterdam business community. I was able to immediately apply my newly developed skills into a business context, which was both challenging and rewarding.""

Eligibility

Any MBA candidate that is offered a place on our International Full-time MBA Programme commencing in January 2011 may apply for one of the scholarships. Please note that an applicant may apply to only one of the participating companies. It is expected that an applicant will have a focus for that company due to their career plans and therefore will apply to that specific organisation.

Review Process

Write a motivational essay outlining the following three points:

  • What motivates you to work in the industry represented by this company, especially if this will involve a career change?
  • What would you be able to contribute to this particular organisation?
  • What will be the added value to your MBA and future career if you are awarded the scholarship?

Please endeavour to keep the essay between 800 and a 1000 words. Submit your essay, by email, together with the Applicant Agreement and an electronic copy of your CV to the Scholarships Office.

Selection Process

Depending on the number of applications, a shortlist of maximum 6 candidates per company will be drawn up. The shortlisted students will be interviewed after their arrival in Rotterdam by representatives of the organisation in question or the Awards Committee. They will discuss the candidate’s suitability on the basis of the essay, CV and interview as well as the business needs of the organisation and will select a winner from the shortlist. The results of the scholarship will be communicated to all applicants shortly after the interviews have taken place.

The deadline for application to the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University MBA Corporate Scholarships is 3 January 2011. Eligible candidates are those that have been accepted onto the MBA Programme.
