The Scholarship
As Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University MBA Alumni, we are well aware of the challenges, both personal and professional, that a candidate faces in order to be able to fulfil his/her dream of successfully completing an MBA programme at a world renowned institution. Therefore, the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University MBA Alumni Association is offering a scholarship to high potential candidates who are interested in pursuing a world class graduate management education at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University but clearly have personal and financial challenges to overcome in order to make this dream a reality. One scholarship is available with a value of €10,000 (available as a tuition fee waiver only).
Eligibility
Any MBA candidate that is offered a place on the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University International Full-time MBA Programme commencing in January 2011 may apply. This award will be merit-based and thus the quality of your MBA application and performance in your interview will be part of the criteria for assessment. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate evidence of substantial career progression, characteristics that will be an asset to the programme, and who has clear career goals for their future after the MBA.
In addition to the merit evaluation, this award will also take into account the financial challenges the individual faces in order to be able to participate in the programme at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Therefore, a detailed financial prognosis for the length of the programme will be considered as part of the selection process.
Review Process
If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please write a 1000 word essay outlining your eligibility on the basis of the criteria mentioned above (individuals who can demonstrate evidence of substantial career progression, characteristics that will be an asset to the programme, and clear career goals for their future after the MBA) as well as the financial challenges you face in order to successfully complete the MBA. In order for us to evaluate your financial challenges, please submit a clear overview of your current financial position and expected expenses for the length of the programme, including the tuition fee.
Fill out the
Applicant Agreement and submit it via email to the Scholarships Office at RSM together with your essay, your financial statement and an electronic copy of your CV.
Selection Process
Depending on the number of applications, successful candidates will be short listed and invited for an interview in January 2011 with the Awards Committee, which will consist of alumni, faculty and staff members. All interviewed candidates will be informed of the results by e-mail no later than one week following the interviews.
