Dory Grandia is assistant director of the Career Development Centre at RSM and Communication Faculty for the Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations. She has delivered a TedX talk in 2015 on leadership and confidence: ‘Authenticity is a Dangerous Word’. Using her experience in the political arena, on the operatic stage, and in leadership and communication programmes she helps people develop their communication range and increase their influence. She studied Asian Studies and Development Economics at the University of Texas at Austin and Vocal Performance at the Mannes Conservatory/New School University in New York City and has performed as an operatic soprano in lead roles in the Netherlands, France, and the USA.
Johan Hofstra is chairman of the jury and of the RSM I WILL Embassy. He is a specialist in strategy, leadership development, innovation and transformation, and is CEO of ProjectX; Brand Innovation Company and Business Pioneers. He has experience in identifying business opportunities, evaluating commercial viability and creating value via focus, innovation and growth generation. He designs, delivers and directs business concepts on innovation, and transformation programmes for leading Dutch and international organisations.
Dr Ting Li is an Associate Professor at RSM and the Academic Director of Business Information Management. Her research interests are: the strategic use of information technology, consumer decision-making in online and mobile channels, internet commerce, and social media. Her work has been sponsored by multiple grants from the Dutch National Science Foundation and published in leading information science journals. Before working at RSM, Ting Li worked in e-business supply chains, web services, and grid computing for General Electric and IBM.
Suzanne Bickes is Chairwoman of the Board for RSM’s STAR, Europe’s largest student-run study association. She focuses on STAR's long-term strategy, leading and facilitating fellow board members, maintaining relationships with external parties and supervising the Erasmus Consultancy Project. She graduated from RSM’s BSc International Business Administration in 2015. During the programme she took part in an international exchange programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and in the Erasmus Honours Programme ‘Crossing Borders’.
Willem Koolhaas is Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications at RSM. He has extensive experience of international marketing and communications, and he directed the launch of RSM’s I WILL initiative in 2011. It has now gathered more than 10,000 I WILL statements. Willem is an RSM alumnus with an MScBA in Marketing Management; during his studies he spent six months at the University of British Columbia. He has also worked in marketing for Procter & Gamble and United Biscuits in the UK. At RSM, he is also involved in efforts to commercialise its research.
Steef van de Velde is Dean and Professor of Operations Management and Technology at RSM. As the dean, his main responsibility is to develop and implement strategies that strengthen the reputation of RSM. His research interests are operations excellence, service operations, and supply chain management. His articles have been published in leading academic journals. Steef holds an MSc in Econometrics from the Erasmus School of Economics and a PhD in mathematics and computer science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
