The STAR Master Study Club Chinese Economy and Business was founded this year for students of the new MSc in Chinese Economy and Business at RSM and the Chinese Department of Leiden University. STAR draws on its extensive network and resources to organise a range of social, recruitment and academic activities for CHEB students.
This specialised Master Study Club (MSC) aims to enrich the programme for all Master students anticipating their internship in China, with feedback, practical insights and by maintaining strong relations with students and faculty, while students are in the Netherlands and during their period in China.
Activities will include social gatherings, recruitment activities with Chinese companies operating in the Benelux and multinationals operating in China, plus academic workshops and seminars with a focus on China and its economy with speakers from several specialisations.
In addition to these events, our Master Study Club helps the MSc CHEB programme with a CV book, a book review club, an alumni event, and the organisation of a Chinese New Year celebration.
STAR is the student liaison and study mentoring group within RSM. With more than 6,500 members and 1,000 overseas members, STAR is the largest study association in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe. Operating like a virtual organisation, STAR brings you unique opportunities to practice turning your ideas into commercial realities.
STAR brings together the entire student body to greatly enrich student life with a full line-up of social and career-oriented events held throughout the year. STAR has exceptionally close relations with the corporate world and regularly invites leaders in international business and politics to meet our students via activities such as Management Week, Business Week and other Career Days. STAR also produces a bi-monthly business magazine. Please visit the STAR website for further information.
