“The MScBA Entrepreneurship & New Business Venturing enables you to think beyond conventional management theory. Devoting attention to the field of entrepreneurship by integrating knowledge of interdisciplinary approaches, emphasising the management of change and new opportunities, and considering practical business issues from a different point of view has proven to be a valuable experience.”

“I am very enthusiastic about the courses of the MScBA Entrepreneurship & New Business Venturing that I followed as an exchange student from Warwick Business School (UK). I have decided to extend my stay in the Netherlands to do the full MScBA programme here. The most important aspects of my months here are the insights I learned, rather than the MScBA title to be gained. However I do feel that being accredited a degree from one of the most prestigious institutions worldwide will prove immensely beneficial for my future career.”

“Ranked among the very top global business schools, RSM and its vast choice of master programmes was definitely the best choice for me. Students are wisely selected and classrooms are full of amazing personalities. In addition, infrastructures and extra-academic opportunities offer an ideal learning environment and fine everyday life. It was not easy to choose which master programme to study at RSM as so many of them appeared attractive to me. However, I immediately recognized I made the right choice when I started the MScBA in Entrepreneurship and New Business Venturing. In this programme, I study the fundamentals of every company from different perspectives, understand what makes a successful business model and learn how to craft business plans. In this way, I uncover the critical points of finance, products and services, management, market and competition, marketing and sales, business organisation and the effective implementation of all of these points. It is motivating to see from the entrepreneur’s point of view as well as learning the investor’s approach. No doubt the knowledge I gain today will serve me constantly in many domains, since it is about practical issues that repeatedly affect each sector of the economy. I am acquiring the tools to thrive in today’s world, but also those I will need to build tomorrow’s world!”

graduated in 2008

“I was the lucky one to be the first exchange student to visit Babson College. Babson College (Boston, USA) is recognised worldwide as the #1 in entrepreneurship education. I met with Babson alumni before I went to Boston to find out what to expect. My semester at Babson College was even better than I had anticipated. It helped me realise that I can aim for “higher-hanging” and potentially more promising opportunities than I dared to think of before. Upon graduation I decided to search for a job with an entrepreneurial firm in the USA. I really felt that I had to go back. I am now located in Boston as a Business Developer for Mendix, an entrepreneurial venture that has its roots in Rotterdam.”

Max Fossen

graduated in 2005
now employed at Boer & Croon Young Executives.

“Initially, the diversity of perspectives on entrepreneurship theory - and the sheer amount of it- surprised me. However, the two blocks of core courses laid a solid foundation, which proved to be very useful. Not only for the second part of the programme, where theory is put into practice, but also in my professional work. The master programme Entrepreneurship & New Business Venturing offered me a balanced mix of thinking and doing, with plenty of room for (entrepreneurial) creativity.”
