GBSM Master Study Club

Share

The Master Study Club of Global Business and Stakeholder Management organises activities specifically for the students of this programme. These activities provide the opportunity to socialise, get to know the faculty outside the classroom, network with businesses for future internships or career opportunities, and acquire new skills.

Events organised include: the Master’s Introduction Days, monthly social gatherings (including an alumni event), company visits, master classes and a Global Business and Stakeholder Management conference, during which speakers from all spheres of society – businesses, NGOs and governmental bodies – convene at RSM.

Other GBSM Events

In addition to the activities organised by the Master Study Club, the Department of Business and Society Management encourages students to host their own events. In 2006, this resulted in the Erasmus Next Top Idea Evening, a study-trip to Brussels, an elections debate, an application and CV training workshop, a workshop on Al Gore’s movie, the launch of the World Investment Report, the ‘CSR Entrepreneurs’ meeting (in which a large number of alumni show how they ‘walk the talk’ in CSR), other book launches and methodology workshops and the creation of a GBSM year book.

Each year, we organise alumni events with visits from interesting speakers, and social drinks with your professors and alumni of GBSM. This event is fun and a great opportunity for networking and learning about the wide array of jobs open to you as a GBSM graduate.

STAR – Virtual Business Life

STAR is the student liaison and study mentoring group within RSM. With more than 6,500 members and 1,000 overseas members, STAR is the largest study association in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe. Operating like a virtual organisation, STAR brings you unique opportunities to practice turning your ideas into commercial realities.

STAR brings together the entire student body to greatly enrich student life with a full line-up of social and career-oriented events held throughout the year. STAR has exceptionally close relations with the corporate world and regularly invites leaders in international business and politics to meet our students via activities such as Management Week, Business Week and other Career Days. STAR also produces a full bi-monthly business magazine. Please have a look at the STAR web pages for further information.
