Research & Master Thesis

Share

The master thesis is the final step in your MSc in Human Resource Management. It gives you the opportunity to conduct independent research in the field of human resource management. Master theses combine theoretical and practical elements, and you are encouraged to do an internship with an organisation as a tool for collecting empirical data in your research efforts.

The MSc in Human Resource Management has successfully implemented an innovative master thesis tracking and monitoring system, resulting in above-average study progress for its students.

The groundwork for the thesis is laid out during the last core course, ‘Research Challenges in HRM and Organisational Behaviour’. In December, you will choose a thesis topic, and a coach will be assigned to you at the beginning of January. By February, we expect to have the first outline of your thesis research topic. We will monitor and support you through the rest of the year, to help you finalise your thesis in August.

Former master thesis topics include:

  • charismatic leadership
  • high performance teams
  • servant leadership
  • innovative compensation systems
  • HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • managerial reflexivity
  • change management
  • motivation
  • emotional intelligence
  • HR and downsizing
  • HR in fast-growing companies.
