Research & Master Thesis

Your master thesis (20 ECTS) is an opportunity to show your potential capabilities as a next generation manager. During this period, you will interact with internationally-recognised companies and well-known researchers in the industry. 

Master Thesis Clinic 

During your MSc in Management of Innovation you will be invited to a master thesis clinic. You’ll write a preliminary research proposal on the research topic of your choice to take to the initial meeting in early December. Following discussion and assessment by staff in the Management of Innovation department, you will write a further, four-page, proposal and will be assigned a coach to supervise you while you finalise it. Your coach will also supervise your master thesis trajectory. The best proposals will be presented in January and prizes will be awarded for the best three. 

Master thesis subjects chosen by current students are mainly on the subject of innovation management, but you are free to write a master thesis research project in complementary disciplines. 

A number of MSc in Management of Innovation students combine working on their master thesis with an international company internship. The results of research gathered during internships can usually be readily incorporated into the final master thesis.
