Independent accreditation BIM

As of 1 September 2011, the MScBA Business Information Management will be accredited as an independent degree. The programme, which is now a specialisation of the MSc in Business Administration, will then become an MSc in Business Information Management. Graduates will henceforth receive the degree MSc in Business Information Management. The curriculum will remain the same.

What is accreditation?
All degree programmes at RSM are accredited by, among other accrediting bodies, the Accreditation Organisation of The Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This accreditation is a seal of approval by the Dutch government and means that the programmes meet stringent quality criteria.

What does independent accreditation mean?
Independent accreditation means that Business Information Management will become a degree programme in its own right (i.e. MSc in Business Information Management), rather than a specialisation of another degree programme (i.e. MSc in Business Administration).

Is Business Information Management currently accredited?
Yes, Business Information Management is currently accredited as specialisation of the MSc in Business Administration degree.

Will the curriculum change once Business Information Management is independently accredited?
No, the curriculum will include the same learning outcomes as before.

What will change once Business Information Management is independently accredited?
The name of the degree will be more in line with the content of the curriculum, and therefore more transparent.

Which degree will I receive?
Once accredited, students will join the newly accredited MSc in Business Information Management. Upon graduation this is the degree you will receive. For current students transitional arrangements will apply. Please check SIN online.

Will I have to pay a higher tuition fee for the MSc in Business Information Management?
No, you will pay the fees that apply to all RSM’s pre-experience MSc programmes.
