Before starting my MSc in Strategic Management at RSM I completed a German-Chinese double degree programme in business, earning a BSc in International Business Administration from Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and a Bachelor of Management in Business Administration from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Choosing RSM was an easy decision for me: RSM offers all the ingredients of a great business school – a superb faculty, a wide range of programmes and courses, a vibrant and diverse student body and consequently an excellent reputation in the business world. The Strategic Management masters programme was a seamless transition from my undergraduate studies, allowing me to continue to study in a diverse and inspiring environment, greatly progress towards my career goal – working in management consulting – as well as deepening my understanding of the strategies organisations may use to create and sustain competitive advantages.
I was particularly amazed by the spirit of RSM students, who are always actively involved in several student organisations, clubs and other student-led initiatives. In addition, I especially enjoyed the numerous team projects I worked on over the course of my studies, all of which not only strengthened my understanding of strategic decision making within firms but also were great team experiences by themselves. The Strategic Management masters programme equipped me with the theoretical grounding to better understand real world business situations and strengthened those skills, such as critical and analytical thinking, that are vital to success in my future job as a management consultant.
