After completing my Bachelor of Management at the SKEMA Business School and at the University of Florida (I have a double degree), I wanted to continue the international adventure by discovering yet another new country and a new university. Having Dutch roots, I wanted to get more familiar with where I come from and see everything this great country has to offer - and it has not disappointed me! Whether you enjoy nature, bustling cities, old traditional Dutch towns, there is something for you in the Netherlands!

I chose RSM specifically for its reputation and quality as a business school. I have learned an incredible amount in only one year, from experienced teachers, successful guest speakers from KLM and Unilever, for example, Fortune 500 company workshops with L’Oréal, Nestlé or ING but also from my fellow students. They never cease to impress me, with their diverse backgrounds, experiences and many talents… Some of my teams were composed of Germans, Italians, Columbians, and even Zimbabweans! If you enjoy a challenge and working with peers who will push you further, RSM is definitely for you!

I chose this Master as one of my favourite classes during my Bachelor was in Strategic Management. Also, it is a field that opens many doors, not pushing you into one single direction: the opportunities and career paths are numerous. Personally, I will be starting a six-month internship at BMW in Munich in Project Management at the end of my studies. Thanks to projects completed, skills and experiences learned at RSM, I am well on my way to reaching my career objectives! One of my best academic memories was a consulting project built from A to Z with my team for an exciting tech start-up – this real-life opportunity taught us a lot about the business, but also about project management, managing client communications and team dynamics.

I would recommend this Master to ambitious students, with an international mindset and motivation to reach their goals… It won’t be easy every day, but the learning experience and the great people you will meet will make it all worth it! Overall, the atmosphere at RSM is very friendly and casual, professors are always responsive and ready to give advice and if you need a break, you can always enjoy a beer at the school bar, De Smitse, or enjoy one of the many fun Dutch activities or festivals!
