If you are ambitious, please do not hesitate about doing a master. Your chances of becoming more successful career-wise will raise dramatically.

I graduated in March 2009, in the middle of the financial crisis which made finding a job very difficult for lots of people. I currently work as a senior account manager at ING private banking. Without a master’s degree I don’t think I would ever have found such a great job with so many career opportunities. Those opportunities would be limited if I didn’t have my master’s.

The most challenging part was definitely writing my thesis. It really is something completely different to following courses and doing exams. All of a sudden you really have to do a whole research project all by yourself. It is hard learning experience.

But after the more general bachelor programme it’s great to get the chance to specialise in something you find really interesting. Classes are much smaller, more interactive and you get to meet more of your fellow students. I loved it, it was the best time of my ‘career’ at RSM.
