If you want to have a good basis for most business functions you should definitively consider doing a Master’s at a top business school like RSM.

After graduating from the MScBA Strategic Management cum laude in 2008, I now work as an Innovation Process Advisor at DSM, providing management consultancy services to DSM’s top innovation projects. The programme provided an excellent basis for this and helped me develop in-depth understanding of critical management challenges such as how to get the most out of an alliance, balancing innovation and efficiency activities and improving collaboration between different business groups. Being familiar with these topics, and understanding how to manage them, is invaluable for my role as an internal consultant.

I considered Strategic Management would be an effective investment as second Master’s degree to broaden the basis for my professional career. Looking back, it proved to be more than that, in the sense that my time at RSM provided me with many new perspectives about what’s actually going on in the world.  The most challenging part was definitely my thesis research. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating - it was the most rewarding experience too.

I highly enjoyed the in-company projects we carried out. Matching text-book knowledge with real-world practice is in my eyes the most fun and effective way to learn. It was always great to work in international teams with young and eager individuals.
