now a Logistics Staff Member for supermarket chain Albert Heijn
“Many aspects of my Supply Chain Management course, like transportation, inventory management, distribution and warehousing were diverse and frequently supported by real-life cases or company visits. My master thesis was about a distribution concept used in the retail sector; I currently work in this sector. I enjoyed the Supply Chain Management programme. It was hard work, but I learned a lot and the knowledge gained is useful in practice. Another advantage was the relatively small size of the classes and therefore close contact with fellow students and lecturers.”

now a European Logistics Manager for Akzo Nobel
“I started as an export sales manager for Akzo Nobel and switched to the supply chain area two years later. Strong points of the Supply Chain Management programme were the analytical attitude towards business problems and the diverse business cases and visits. These have given me considerable practical knowledge of businesses and processes that I encounter in my current working environment. The value I retain from my studies is the know-how of manufacturing companies as well as logistics service providers. In my function I am responsible for the purchase of warehousing services. For instance, by having done the ‘Warehouse Design and Management’ course, I now enjoy an advantage when negotiating new warehouse contracts with logistics service providers.”

now a Supply Chain Consultant for Siemens.
“All aspects of business are positively influenced by an optimised supply chain, so a master in Supply Chain Management gives your career a major boost, in addition to the fact that the master courses are interesting and diverse. This master brings you many job opportunities. I can also recommend becoming an active member of the Supply Chain Management Master Study Club; not only because it's fun, but it also gives you a great opportunity to enlarge your network when you start to search for a job. Choosing Supply Chain Management means choosing a challenging master, but it's a choice you will never regret."

now a Junior Consultant at Policy Research Corporation.
"From strategic sourcing to inventory management, the Supply Chain Management programme offered me a solid understanding of the importance and complexity of a well-functioning supply chain. By studying the best practices of companies like Mazda, DHL and Mexx, and through rigorous modeling and data analysis, the programme taught me the basics of how to set up and manage an efficient supply chain. My interest in the analytical challenge of solving complex supply chain issues was further raised by my internship at Médecins Sans Frontières. After graduation, I started working for Policy Research Corporation, a strategy consultancy firm in the maritime and transportation industry. There, I benefit daily from my studies in supply chain management."

now a business logistics planner for 3M.
“The Supply Chain Management course provides an in-depth analysis of the whole supply chain from the perspectives of logistics, operations and process optimisation. Not only was cutting-edge theory employed in our lectures, but also many classic real cases were dealt with. In addition, the design and improvement of a particular stage as well as the whole supply chain of simulation projects and games were treated with thorough discussion and team work. Frequent company visits were another helpful practice to apply the knowledge. Equipped with knowledge and competence gained during this master, I believe I can conquer any challenge awaited in real business life.”
