Masterclass 'Manager of the 21st century is a servant leader'
People are a critical success factor; this is today’s reality for companies that are driven by knowledge. Slowly but surely, the approach to leadership is also changing.
Our knowledge economy calls for more servant leaders. So how do you become such a 21st-century manager? You won’t learn this from a book. You might wonder: are people born leaders, or can you learn how to be a successful leader? Anyone willing to reflect on their own behaviour can develop leadership qualities. Leadership has nothing to do with your position; it’s all about your competencies. You should also ask yourself what your leadership style is, who you work with, and what you and your colleagues want to achieve.
What are ‘servant leaders’, and why does this kind of leadership get so much attention in professional organisations? In this masterclass, Prof. Van Dierendonck will explain leadership competencies, and what behaviour makes us effective leaders.
