Rianne van Asperen is Researcher and Project Officer at the Partnerships Resource Centre. She assists with research projects, develops publications for practitioners and organises events and workshops such as the annual Max Havelaar Lecture. Moreover Rianne is coordinating the Wicked Problems Plaza. In the WPP stakeholders come together to work on wicked problems by using head, heart and hands. Rianne performs different roles within this project: She acts as facilitator, coordinator, organizer, and researcher. The Wicked Problems Plaza is one of the instruments with which the PrC bridges science and practice. Other outlets are e.g. a video-series on RSM discovery in which she explains partnership portfolio management for Civil Society Organizations. She has also contributed to the Ready for Change?! policy advice on the global goals.

Rianne’s research interests are diverse and range from partnerships within the field of development co-operation, identity research, wicked problems and multi-stakeholder dialogues, to the SDGs or Global Goals. In 2013, during a research internship with not-for-profit development organisation SNV in Tanzania, she studied the cooperation between SNV and its local partners for her master’s thesis. Rianne graduated from Tilburg University with a BSc in Organization Studies and completed an interdisciplinary Research Master degree in Social Research at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
