The Partnerships Resource Centre (PrC) is an international research– and knowledge center for public-private collaboration for sustainable and inclusive development. Embedded within Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) of the Erasmus University (EUR), PrC as flagship center bridges science and practice.

PrC aims to understand how cross-sector partnerships work and how they can contribute to sustainable transformations. The PrC’s Knowledge Agenda focuses on: creating knowledge to enhance the transformative capacity of partnerships, connecting academic and practical knowledge to support mutual learning and sharing knowledge to guide navigation and strategizing processes of partnering.

About us

In 2009, the Partnerships Resource Centre (PrC) was founded with a grant of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Academic Director Prof.dr. Rob van Tulder started several research projects to facilitate further knowledge accumulation and learning in the area of sustainable and inclusive partnerships. In the past 10 years PrC has contributed to a growing body of knowledge, with a focus on how to enhance effective collaboration between business, civil society organisations and government.

PrC is connected to the global community on Cross Sector Social Interactions (CSSI) who publishes the Annual Review of Social Partnerships, written for and by cross-sector social partnership academics and practitioners focusing on collaboration across nonprofit, business, and public sectors.

PrC collaborates with the Partnership Brokers Association (PBA) the international professional body for those managing and developing collaboration processes.

You can learn more about the research projects PrC carries out, the partnering tools we have developed and PrC’s publicationsHere you can find the team members of PrC and how you can reach them.

What do we do?

The PrC aims to understand how cross-sector partnerships work and how they can contribute to sustainable transformations. The PrC’s Knowledge Agenda focuses on: creating knowledge to enhance the transformative capacity of partnerships, connecting academic and practical knowledge to support mutual learning and sharing knowledge to guide navigation and strategizing processes of partnering.

We do action research in a number of research projects, ranging from long term learning trajectories to practice oriented support assignments. Next to this we have translated concepts and frameworks we work with into practical tools to help practitioners navigate their partnerships.

We publish about the results of our work. These publications include peer reviewed scientific articles publishes in high ranked academic journals and practice oriented papers aiming at sharing research findings with practitioners.
