When football clubs sell their shares on the stockmarket one struggles with the strange image that goal-keepers once had to pick up coins thrown at them during football matches because they were so poorly paid. It is just as difficult for us to imagine what may happen in future as commpercial pressure impact football on-field and off-field . This conference examines how football in the 21st century can remain successful by addressing the trends and issues. It encourages stakeholders to face the challenges head on and implement appropriate strategies in response.
