The scientific staff at the ESRC publishes the findings of research projects on a regular basis. They focus on the academic community, particularly in scientific journals, as well as on practitioners: managers and policy makers in the business community and government.

One of the publications with a very high impact within the academic community is the special issue of Long Range Planning (LRP) in 2001 (vol. 34). It presents reports from the RSM Erasmus University on a current research project into European Financial Services.

Widely appraised within the business community is the best-selling book Building the Flexible Firm by Henk W. Volberda.
