Concept for an Integrated Project in the 6th European Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP6)
What are the emerging organisational forms and principles for the 21st Century organization? How will emerging technologies be exploited? How will they be created and sustained?
The project Co-evolving Organisations within a Knowledge Ecology will develop answers to these questions. This will support FP6 in making decisive steps towards evolving Europe’s Business and Scientific networks into the world’s most dynamic and competitive knowledge-based economy of 2010.
Possible solutions and approaches will be developed through understanding the capability of organisations to co-evolve and renew themselves within turbulent environments. This will be accomplished through studies of traditional and non-traditional organizations, informed by concepts of complex systems thinking and with an integrated view of enabling technologies.
