Events

Conferences 

Each year, we host several international conferences with speakers and discussants from a wide variety of schools and locations. The 6th annual conference on Professional Asset Management will take place on June 6 and 7, 2013, while the 6th Erasmus Liquidity Conference will take place on August 26 and 27, 2013.

Seminars 

Our weekly seminar series, organized jointly with the Erasmus School of Economics, features distinguished speakers from top international schools. In addition there is a brown bag seminar series, with mostly internal speakers and an econometrics seminar, covering financial econometrics. Coordinator of the Erasmus Finance Seminar is Elvira Sojli.

PhD Defenses 

The RSM Finance Department delivers about three to five PhD graduates per year. Formal defenses are public events, held in the Promotiezaal of Erasmus University. At the ceremony the candidate gives a brief presentation of the PhD thesis, followed by Q&A of the committee.
