General instructions for RSM BV staff

Working from home

You can work from home with your RSM BV laptop or with your personal laptop/ desktop.

If you use an RSM BV laptop

  • Use your laptop when working remotely (all functionality that you normally have at the office is also available remotely)
  • Make sure your multi-factor authentication (you should have it set up either via the Authenticator app on your mobile phone or a telephone call to your selected phone number) setup works well, as you will need it to successfully access Office365.

If you use your own device

  • Access your work environment (Teams, files, MS Office, etc.) at portal.office.com (@myrsm.nl credentials)
  • Access your mailbox at exchange.eur.nl (etp*****@eur.nl credentials)
  • Make sure your multi-factor authentication (you should have it set up either via the Authenticator app on your mobile phone or a telephone call to your selected phone number) setup works well, as you will need it to successfully access Office365.

Collaboration

For collaboration with your colleagues, use Teams.

  • Conversations online – Chat for conversations relevant to a few colleagues only; Posts in particular teams for conversations relevant to your whole team
  • Meetings online –  You can have both audio and video calls with one or more of your colleagues, as well as share your screen during the meeting

Telephony

  • For internal communication (RSM BV colleagues and students) – you can use Teams
  • For external communication, if you do not have an RSM BV mobile phone, please consult your manager about a possibility of using your personal phone and declaring the costs later
     

Remote IT Support

  • IT Service Desk will be open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday as of 17th of March. However, to comply with the guidelines of avoiding physical contact as much as possible, we ask you to preferably contact IT Services at itservices@rsm.nlor via +31 10 408 8624.
  • Please be aware that due to so many institutions across so many countries all working remotely, performance of cloud-based services can be somewhat slower than usual.
  • [Own Device users only] In case you need IT Services support when working remotely, it would help us a lot if you had TeamViewer QuickSupport downloaded and installed on your device. This way IT Services can connect to your device remotely and assist you more quickly.
