Re-use lecture recordings

Re-use lecture recordings

When recordings are available from last year's lecture, and the content of the lecture has not changed much, it is possible to (partly) reuse these recordings. With the correct access rights you can make basic edits directly in Mediasite, such as changing the start and end of a video, cutting parts or changing slides. You can also insert chapters, which allows for easy navigation through long recordings.

If you would like to reuse parts of an existing recording, please contact the Learning Innovation Team (learninginnovation@rsm.nl) with your request, the name of the course and the course code. LIT will give you access to the video(s) and provide you with instructions on how to edit them.

Depending on your requirements, LIT is happy to help determine the best way to distribute your videos. For example, videos can be shared via links to each individual video, a catalog that includes all videos, or by embedding videos on a Canvas page. Links and pages can be included in course modules. In addition, Mediasite and Canvas both offer options to release videos adaptively (e.g., after a deadline or when a requirement has been met).
