RSM alumni are invited for a wine seminar, held in Ratingen (near Dusseldorf), with a title Introduction to the main white & red grapes and the basics of food pairing. The seminar, held by a professional sommelier and RSM alumnus, is priced at 25 EUR per person in order to break even and therefore offers great value, exclusive to the RSM Local Chapter. Friends and family are welcome to join!

You will learn about the main grape varieties, get to taste 8 different wines from the Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Pfalz, Rheinhessen and Ribera del Duero and learn about the basics of food pairing.

All the following wines and a selection of finger food will be included in the seminar:

Riesling from Rheinhessen or Württemberg

Sancerre from Loire (Sauvignon blanc)

Chardonnay from Burgundy-Macon-Villages

Pinot Noir (=Spätburgunder) from Burgundy-Cote d’Or

Syrah/Cabernet from Provence

Merlot from Bordeaux-Saint-Emilion

Tempranillo from Spain-Ribera del Duero

The finger food will be matched with the grape variety, so participants will learn what wine to select with what food and why.

Exact location will be disclosed after you sign-up. Deadline for registration is 10 June. Please be aware that the event might be cancelled on the 11 June in case we do not receive enough sign-ups.
