Drinks in a Dutch café with the Dean

What do the numbers 105 and 326 have in common? That would be the number of Dutch and Belgian beers you can find at Proeflokaal Rembrandt, and its address 326 Earls Court Road in London.

For our next alumni event in the UK, we decided to bring a bit of a Nederlandse feel, and so we couldn’t resist the opportunity to catch up with classmates in the bar with the biggest selection of Dutch beers outside of the Netherlands. It’s a little corner of the lowlands five minutes from Earls Court tube station.

Along with all the beers, you’ll also find Steef van de Velde on his last visit to the UK before he steps down from his role as Dean of RSM.

He’s here with Sue Martin – Director of Alumni Relations – to find out how you’re doing, and to give you a chance to tell us what we can do to support your network.

We’re also going to ask you to consider which of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals you could get behind in your work; this is to do with RSM’s mission to be a force for positive change in the world, and there’ll be a short, thought-provoking and network-enabling presentation from our Positive Change Initiative director, Eva Rood.

Register for this event if you want to keep up with – or reconnect with – RSM as you enjoy a drink with Dean Steef van de Velde (on his farewell visit!) and network with your fellow alumni in the UK.

There’s a small registration fee, which will go straight to charity as part of RSM’s mission to be a force for positive change in the world.

Some drinks and echte bitterballen are on the School. Proost!
