Limit disruptions caused by organisational change
Trends, opportunities, threats and developments can force your organisation to make strategic organisational changes. This can cause disruption of the status quo and a controversy with internal and external stakeholder groups. Business leaders can limit these disruptions through a new three-day masterclass at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
In Organisational Change, professionals and managers will focus on how to define and understand the nature of various types of change, strategic renewal in order to grasp opportunities and cope with environmental threats, and how they can use communication to frame and justify particular changes to gain support from employees.
Managing the change process through communication
In three days, participants will learn various means, techniques and tools used to pursue change, dilemmas facing managers in change trajectories, factors impeding strategic and organisational change, roles of the different actors involved in change trajectories, and effective ways of aligning employees in support of a change. Participants will also develop skills and learn tools that allow them to apply these insights to actual cases.
Topics will be linked to practical case studies and scenarios, role play, reflective exercises and group discussions, so that the practical currency of the models, insights and principles discussed in class is clearly demonstrated. Workshops include ‘Managing the change process’, ‘Storytelling for change’, ‘Change at NN Group’, ‘Organisational behaviour and change’, ‘Change communication’, ‘Coaching your CEO’, and ‘How to build and tell a change story’.
Top lecturers and guest speakers
Participants will learn from RSM’s top faculty members Prof. Joep Cornelissen, Prof. Steffen Giessner, and corporate guest speakers Marije Scholma, head of internal and external communications corporate relations at NN Group; and drs. Ashraf Ramzy, founder and story consultant at MasterStory.
The three-day Organisational Change programme is a module of RSM’s Part-time Executive International MSc in Corporate Communication.
