Paul Snikkers, a member of the class of 2018, said his primary reactions to the first week were ‘intense’ and ‘gratifying’. “It is really amazing how everyone is already connecting with each other in these first three days; it should be a good base to really move forward in the next 21 months.”
The new Global OneMBA cohort will graduate in 2018 after 21 months of studies that include global residencies at partner schools in Asia, Europe, North and South America, plus local residencies. Partner schools are the University of North Carolina in the USA; Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP) in Brazil; EGADE Business School in Mexico and School of Management, Xiamen University in China. Together, the ‘global class’ comprises around 100 students.
The RSM class comprises 30 students; 21 men and nine women, whose average age is 39.5. They represent 11 nations: Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Russia, Ukraine and the USA.
The Global OneMBA attracts senior executives and professionals with around 15 years of business experience. They learn about business and management through the lens of the world’s most important economic regions to develop knowledge, leadership abilities, global networks and experience international business. Four of the cohort are entrepreneurs, and others come from multi-national companies and organisations such as ABN AMRO, Schlumberger, SHV, Groupon, ASML, LyondellBasell, Yokogawa Europe, Ceva Logistics, the HERE WeGo app, Oceanco, Kraft Heinz China, Dutch Central Bank, ING Bank, Zurich Insurance, Booking.com, Hexion, 3M Netherlands, and Industrial/Commercial bank of China
