Students connect with companies at Bachelor Internship Fair
Around 250 bachelor students from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) flocked to the Bachelor Internship Fair on campus on 6 April to meet recruitment professionals from several companies. They discussed internship opportunities and learned what it’s really like to do an internship.
As part of RSM’s bachelor programmes, third-year students can choose to do an internship, an international study exchange or a minor. Last year, more than 200 bachelor students completed an internship during their seventh trimester.
Most students looking for an internship were from RSM’s second-year BSc Bedrijfskunde (BA) and BSc International Business Administration (IBA) programmes. The internship fair allowed them to connect with companies and learn about internship opportunities for their third bachelor year.
“I talked with some truly interesting people,” said bachelor student Leo Sizaret, a second-year IBA student. “In fact, I plan to apply at several of the companies that attended.”
Companies that held a presentation or had a stand at the Bachelor Internship Fair 2017 included: Unilever, Bayer, Avery Dennison, Keytoe, Prysmian Group, Kurtz Marketing & Management, Majawidu/ByeBra, and Westwing Home & Living.
“It was great participating in the Bachelor Internship Fair again,” said Lennard Toma, organisation psychologist at marketing and innovation company Keytoe. “The new venue was spacious, making it easy to talk to everyone. We met lots of great students who had great questions.”
Third-year bachelor students who have done an internship this year acted as internship ambassadors at the fair. The 10 internship ambassadors shared how they had found an internship and what their experiences were.
