Gert van Essen
Experienced business leader and advisor
Gert van Essen is a highly experienced business leader. He was a partner at KPMG, board member of Doctors without Borders and several hospitals and is currently advisor, coach and board member. He is on the supervisory or advisory boards for IJsselland Ziekenhuis and the Luxor Theaters.
He has managed professional service firms and workers’ councils, pension funds and a wide range of HR developments on a strategic level. Activities have addressed recruitment, learning & development, CSR, and diversity. His roles have supported the implementation of initiatives for HR strategy, talent management and e-recruitment, IT, performance management, mobility, reward programs, career paths, pension schemes and integrating knowledge management.
