Change as the only constant for business? RSM Leadership Summit
What happens when advances and developments continually change the landscape for businesses and for people? Can constant change produce positive change? Those are the questions for the business community, alumni, academics and high-profile guest speakers to consider on Friday 4 October at the RSM Leadership Summit. This annual event, hosted by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), will consider how positive changes can be part of the constantly changing business and technology landscape.
Every year, RSM invites the business community to an event that engages everyone in a debate about issues and challenges in business and leadership, and presents inspiration and answers from international business leaders and thinkers. This year’s event features Arwen Smit, blockchain strategist and CEO of MintBit; Hanneke Faber, Unilever’s president of Foods and Refreshment, and Prof. Stefano Puntoni, award-winning marketing and branding expert at RSM. The audience at the historic Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam can expect inspiration from inspirational entrepreneurs, business leaders, adventurers and world-class academics, plus international networking with people from across the corporate world.
Innovation, philosophy, disruption
The audience are encouraged to contribute to the debate – and meet new contacts as they work on their business networks – during the three breakout tracks that look more closely at what constant change means for business by exploring innovation, business philosophy, and disruption. All sessions at the RSM Leadership Summit are in English.
The RSM Leadership Summit also marks the beginning of a busy weekend for alumni from RSM. Immediately after the Summit, the MBA Alumni Reunion weekend kicks off at the networking drinks reception, and runs through Saturday with a programme of career-development sessions from RSM academics and other speakers, as well as city tours, wine tasting sessions and a reunion dinner. This year, RSM will welcome back alumni who graduated from its MBA programmes in 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014.
The RSM Leadership Summit is a lively platform for all kinds of business practitioners to engage in a day of high-level networking and the sharing of knowledge and experiences. Discussions and question panels are inspired by the unique presentations from leading thinkers. The audience – which includes the business community, alumni, RSM’s top academics, students and staff – are invited to contribute to the exchange in facilitated networking sessions.
RSM’s focus on being a force for positive change in the world means that the theme of each year’s event presents a new viewpoint for business and management in the 21st century, and is an opportunity for participants to become part of that positive change.
Since its launch in 2009, the RSM Leadership Summit has become recognised as a unique way to deepen the connection between this leading European business school and the business community.
