Job description

We are looking for a service-oriented individual who has the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment to join our Open & Customised Programmes department (professional services) as Associate Director Open & Customised Programmes.

Your main tasks:

The main responsibility of the Associate Director is to manage the daily programme operations of  a portfolio of approximately 25 Open Programmes, as well as a growing number of Customised Client Programmes, further develop and professionalize existing operations by promotion of innovation and outstanding quality service. Furthermore he/she helps to identify and implement ongoing needs and improvements for programmes in a timely manner.

The Associate Director Open & Customised Programmes reports to the Director of Programme Management and manages a team of programme managers and content planner, and ensures a quality learning experience for the participants. He/she carries responsibility for the logistic and administrative quality of the programmes and works closely with the Director of Programmes to ensure that (academic) activities and programme operations are of the highest possible standard. He/ she also works closely with the associated (academic) faculty staff in ensuring a high quality learning experience for each programme.

He/she is successful in this position when managing all stakeholders effectively. Close collaboration with programme staff from the other programmes in RSM BV’s portfolio is key to successful programme operations. Responsible to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders such as the Director of Programme Development, the Client Engagement team and the Marketing & Sales department  and more are critical to success.

In addition, the Associate Director is responsible for implementing the annual operating and financial plan of Open and Customised Programmes.

Required qualifications

You will be considered for this position if you have:

  • A Master degree. An MBA degree is an advantage.
  • Preferably a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position in an international environment.
  • Experience in managing a high performing team that works in a dynamic, demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate empathically and effectively across a range of media to a large variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to cope with stress, to persuade and influence and to disarm conflicts
  • Knowledge of learning and education methodologies and tools, including technology based resources and virtual resources
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of participants, clients, faculty and staff. Flexible orientation and willingness to work outside of normal business hours (some weekends).

In addition to this professional knowledge and experience, we are looking for a customer-and team oriented colleague with excellent advisory and people management skills. You are able to work independently, and you are also a team player. You can take initiative, make contact with others easily, and possess the necessary social assertiveness. In connection with the international character of our team, an excellent command of English is a must.

The salary range for this specific position is € 4,000 – € 4,800 (scale 17) on a full-time basis. This will be decided based on your education and working experience. RSM BV also has excellent secondary benefits, amongst others 25 vacation days plus 12 ADV days.
