Student Assistant - Corporate & Alumni Relations (1 x 16 hours/week)


The Corporate and Alumni Relations department (CAR) at RSM is looking for 1 ambitious student-assistants who can join our team for minimum 2 days per week to start in early August with the opportunity to extend. We are looking for RSM students in their 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor phase, who intend to pursue their Master at RSM or MiM students scheduled to graduate in December 2023. We prefer you working during office hours, but there is also the possibility to work in the evenings and/or weekends.


Tasks

Most of your tasks will be of an administrative nature, as you will be working with various databases (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) and Excel. We are looking for someone who doesn’t mind some repetitive tasks and has a very accurate attention to detail. At the same time, we also expect you to be an outgoing and creative person, as the other side of the job includes event support, representation of our office at alumni events, social media strategy and content creation. Some concrete examples of your work include (but are not limited to):

  • Update contact information of alumni in our CRM systems
  • Manage our mentor platform, including approving user requests, responding to questions, trouble-shooting, produce reports and statistics
  • Produce and analysing alumni data (e.g. making queries, statistics etc)
  • Revitalizing digital templates and data management systems
  • Provide operational support at alumni events such as collecting materials, printing badges, managing our registration tool
  • Manage the mailboxes including alumni@rsm.nl, handling incoming requests/questions in an accurate and professional manner
  • Manage our social media channels (content and membership management)
  • Co-create and implement content and marketing activities for alumni initiatives
  • Conducting strategic research and benchmarking projects
  • Work with content management systems for creating online events, online registration management

What type of person are we looking for?

Most of all, we expect you to be professional, after all, you will be interacting with alumni, over email and/or phone, but also in person during events. Next to that, you are very organised, you have an eye for detail and you have a very hands-on approach to work. We expect you to be able to work very independently and take great responsibility for your work. Some requirements include:

  • You are a true ambassador of the school
  • 3rd year Bachelor student, pre-master, and will continue your master at RSM or MiM student who will graduate in December 2023.
  • Able to work independently, pro-active and can show initiative
  • You have a high degree of customer orientation and are able to communicate professionally with different audiences (students, alumni, professors etc)
  • You have an eye for detail
  • Flexible attitude towards work hours and assignments.
  • Experience with online/database systems, IT processes, excel, and social media platforms
  • Fluent in English, Dutch preferred but not required
  • You live in Rotterdam
  • And most of all, you are reliable
